Shayla Benoit is a filmmaker, director, choreographer, producer, performer, teaching artist, and published author who loves to create in a variety of mediums.
Shayla is the President and Founder of Shady Theatrics, an innovative film production company that has produced multiple works for an array of organizations including The Tony Awards, The Actors’ Equity Foundation, The Juilliard School, The Miami Dolphins, and a myriad of Broadway productions. Shayla has served as the Red Carpet Tony Awards Correspondent for the Actors' Equity Foundation.
She has worked closely with Unreel Films creating content for The Juilliard School, Princeton University, and Disney Theatrical Group. Additionally, she has worked with PRA NY, Transcendent Endeavors, Clear Channel Spectacolor, and DKC/O&M with Tim Grady Films.
Shayla has also served as a guest teaching artist with the 92nd Street Y in New York City and Florida State University.
She has appeared at Radio City Music Hall, 54 Below, and in regional theaters across the country. She can also be seen and heard on television, film, and radio.
Shayla holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Florida State University graduating Summa Cum Laude.
